Back in July, artist Chris Garofalo produced a Night of the Comet poster to promote a screening of the film at The Colonial Theatre in Phoenixville PA. Prints of the original poster, complete with metallic ink, are now on sale from Quiltface Studios, priced at $20 ($7 for US shipping/ $15 for international shipping).

UK Blu-Ray Release – Full Artwork Revealed
Artist Gary Pullin has revealed on his Twitter feed the full sleeve artwork for the forthcoming UK Blu-ray release of Night of the Comet.
The disc is scheduled for release on 22 September 2014, and Gary’s Twitter post says “(not final)” so there may yet be changes to it before release.

Alternative Artwork Revealed For UK Night Of The Comet Blu-Ray Release
The section of the artwork by Gary Pullin that we showed you yesterday is from none other than the forthcoming UK Blu-Ray release of Night of the Comet distributed by Arrow Films.
The Blu-Ray is scheduled for release on 22 September 2014, and the UK release features a couple of extras that were not on the Scream Factory USA release. Full specs are listed below.

Night Of The Comet Screening In Indiana At 8th Annual B-Movie Celebration
The 8th Annual B-Movie Celebration takes place in Nashville, Indiana this coming weekend, 8-10 August 2014. This year’s Celebration focuses on the cinema of 1984 with a schedule that includes: Screwballs, Zombie Island Massacre, Ice Pirates, The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension, CHUD, The Last Star Fighter, The Toxic Avenger, The Warrior and the Sorceress, Hardbodies, Repo Man and Night of the Comet.
Night of the Comet will be screening at 9pm on Friday 8 August. Tickets are $8 and can be purchased online from the Brown County Playhouse website.

Czech Republic VHS Release
We finally managed to track down and acquire a Czech Republic VHS release for Night of the Comet (Zkázonosná Kometa) from 1993, the artwork for which has been added to the Memorabilia section of the site.

Following a successful 13-years as Art Director for the world’s best selling horror magazine Rue Morgue, artist Gary Pullin established his own business, Ghoulish Gary. His award winning artworks have been featured in magzines includingHorrorHound and Famous Monsters of Filmland. In addition Gary has provided cover artworks for several DVD releases including Lifeforce and Wes Craven’s Deadly Bessings.
We were therefore excited to see that he has been working on Night of the Cometrelated piece, a teaser sample of which has been released. We look forward to seeing the fully revealed artwork.
