Lethal Ladies of Horror Film festival takes place at the Historic Regency Village Theatre, 961 Broxton Ave., Los Angeles on Thursday 17 October. The event is for all fans of horror and those with an appreciation for strong roles by women in horror. There will be a screening of Night of the Comet and as an extra treat, stars Catherine Mary Stewart and Kelli Maroney will also be in attendance. There will even be a Tempest arcade game in the lobby for fans to enjoy – So go along and fill up the scoreboard with “DMK”!

Other screenings will include Christine and Carrie and other treats for fans will include the presence of the 1958 Plymoth Fury used in Christine, and Carrie star Portia Doubleday will also be in attendance.

The Lethal Ladies of Horror Film Festival is a collaboration between Regency Theatres and the SAG-AFTRA National Women’s Committee.

Night of the Comet fans will be delighted to hear that the forthcoming Blu-ray release from Scream Factory will feature a whole load of extras! Here’s the official announcement from actress Catherine Mary Stewart:

The Blu-ray/DVD combi-pack will be released on 19November 2013, almost 29 years to the day since the original theatrical release in 1984. You can pre-order direct from Scream Factory, and as a bonus incetive, the first 200 orders will receive a limited edition 18″x24″ poster of the disc’s cover artwork.

The Blu-ray will be locked to Region A, however Scream Factory have said that the extras will appear on both the Blu-ray and DVD, so those in the UK who can play Region 1 DVDs should still be able to view the bonus features.
