Night Of The Comet 30 Year Anniversary

celebrating 30 years16 November 2014 marks the 30th Anniversary of the US theatrical release of Night of the Comet.

Night of the Comet was moderately successful upon it’s initial release, charting at number 3 in it’s first week. However, it was in the video rental and cable television market that the film really flourished, gaining a loyal following from teenagers who still count Comet in their top 10 films today.

In those 30 years, NotC has grown in popularity becoming something of a cult classic for sci-fi, horror and ’80s film fans alike. Today the film is available on both DVD and Blu-ray, and thanks to the efforts of the film’s Music Producer, Don Perry, who re-discovered original tracks, fans can listen to an all-but complete soundtrack.

This site (launced in 2007) endevours to be as complete a resource as possible for fans of the film and our Facebook Group members and Twitter followers continue to grow in numbers. If you have any Cometrelated news, be it a theatre screening in your local area or a Comet related piece of artwork you’ve produced, please get in touch.
