The Castle Cinema in London, UK will be screening Night of the Comet at 11.30pm on Saturday 17 November as part of their Underwire Festival.

This screening is presented by The Final Girls- a London-based screening series focused on exploring feminist themes in horror cinema and highlighting the representation and work of women in horror, both in front of and behind the camera.

As reported by Deadline earlier today, Night of the Comet is to get a remake courtesy of Orion Pictures.
Orion has set Southbound director, Roxanne Benjamin the task of writing a remake of the cult 80s sci-fi film.
Night of the Comet has inspired another Inktober post, this time from none other than comic book artist Adam DeKraker who posted this stunning piece on Instagram for Inktober 2018 Day 17 featuring Kelli Maroney as Samantha.
Based in Brooklyn, Adam has produced work for both Marvel and DC Comics including Spider-Man, The Hulk, X-Men, Superman, Batman, The Justice League and many more. He is currently the illustrator of the LGBT webcomic The Young Protectors.

Night of the Comet has been the inspiration for at least a couple of Inktober sketches, one great example is this artwork posted on Instagram of Mary Waronov as Think-tank scientist Audrey by Andrea Kalfas.
Even 34 years after its release Night of the Comet continues to inspire fans. Brendon Wood AKA Teenagers From Mars has recorded this punk rock song, inspired by Night of the Comet.
