16 November 2016 marks the 32nd anniversary of the US theatrical release of Night of the Comet.
Night of the Comet would go on to gross $3,580,578 on its opening weekend, screening in over 1,098 theaters. With its highest chart position being #3 in its opening week.
The Alamo Drafthouse (NYC) will be holding a 35mm screening Night of the Comet on Tuesday 29 November as part of their Terror Tuesday feature.
The screening at 9.30pm in Downtown Brooklyn will be hosted by programmer Danielle Burgos.

The Innerspace at 78th Street Studios in Cleveland will be holding their inaugural Double Feature on Tuesday 8 November. A screening of Night of the Comet at 8pm will be followed by Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978) at 9.50pm.
The event is BYOB, and attendance is free, however, a $5 donation is requested.

The second episode in seventh season of AMCs The Walking Dead sees a nice little tribute to Night of the Comet by way of a walker in the opening scene that bears a striking resemblance to Comet‘s “Monster in Alley”, played by Alex Brown.
